An online creative creative writing event with the title
'A Celebration of Creativity: Christopher Bakken's AUTH Poetry Workshop'
will take place on Friday January 21st, 2022,

The workshop will be held between 18:45-20:30 via the ZOOM platform

ΕVENT ABSTRACT

The Transparent Windows workshop series will feature poetry readings by the participants in Christopher Bakken’s poetry workshop at AUTH.

Prof. Bakken will offer some introductory remarks and then the workshop participants will each read two poems from their final portfolio. A Q&A with the instructor and participants will follow.

BIO INFORMATION of CREATIVE WRITING PROFESSOR:

Christopher Bakken is the author of three books of poetry--Eternity & Oranges, Goat Funeral, and After Greece--as well as the culinary memoir, Honey, Olives, Octopus: Adventures at the Greek Table. He also co-translated The Lions’ Gate: Selected Poems of Titos Patrikios. Bakken’s work has been translated into Greek, Romania, Bulgarian, and Polish. He is currently serving as a Fulbright Scholar at Aristotle University of Thessaloniki and he holds the Frederick F. Seely Chair in English at Allegheny College in Pennsylvania. Each summer, he serves as the director of Writing Workshops in Greece on the island of Thasos.
