As part of the 8ᵗʰ International Congress of Applied Linguistics Today – Modern Approaches to Old and New Challenges, a special thematic session will be organized to commemorate the 30th anniversary of the Department of Modern Greek Studies at the Faculty of Philology, University of Belgrade. We invite colleagues to participate in this event by submitting abstracts. In addition to the conference's working languages, presentations within this thematic session can also be given in Greek.

Also, it is a great honor to inform you that to the list of plenary speakers, besides already announced speakers (Marta Kajzer-Wietrzny, Silvia Melo-Pfeifer, Maja Miličević Petrović, Vesna Polovina, Srđan Popov, Junichi Toyota), we have added a new name – Ken Hyland (University of East Anglia, England). According to the Standford/Elsevier analysis of the Scopus database, Ken Hyland is the most influential scholar in language and linguistics for 2022, 2023 and 2024!

The deadline for abstract submission is 25 December, 2024. For all additional information please refer to the conference’s website
