Maria Dimitrakopoulou is a member of the Lab Teaching Staff at the Department of Theoretical and Applied Linguistics, School of English, A.U.TH. She holds an MA in TEFL/TESL from the University of Birmingham, UK and a PhD in Psycholinguistics from the Department of Theoretical and Applied Linguistics, School of English, A.U.TH. She has taught English as a Foreign Language at all levels of education and worked for the Centre for the Greek Language- division for the Support of the Greek Language (certification of attainment in Greek). Her main research interests are in the areas of generative syntax, (first and second) language acquisition, bilingualism. She has participated in research projects related to the acquisition and teaching of Greek as an L2 and has published in conference proceedings and journals.
