Theodora Psoma (PhDc) is a PhD Candidate at the School of English, AUTh, researching museum Audio Description corpora with a focus on accessibility for Blind and Partially Blind audiences. Her academic background includes a BA in History & Archaeology, an MA in Digital Humanities, and a BA in English completed summa cum laude, complemented by a Cambridge Diploma in Teaching English to Adults. She teaches Language Mastery I (LANG101) and Computer Literacy and Research Skills (RES120) to 1st year students at the School of English AUTh, while also supporting international students through the School’s Resource Centre. A member of the FLT Lab (Foreign Language Teaching Lab), she contributes to interdisciplinary and international initiatives including the KIT Urban Transformation Conference 2025, the EPICUR mobility project at YLMP2025 in Poznań, and the EPICUR “AD in the CITY” project at Thessaloniki’s Venizelou Metro Station. Her work is interdisciplinary and brings together Corpus Linguistics, ESP, Cognitive Linguistics, Critical Disability Studies, and Access Studies, and includes a forthcoming publication on figurative language and disability with Routledge (USA). She has presented her research findings at international conferences such as ILANSCO24, ESIDRP 2025 and ARSAD 2025.
