Georgia Fotiadou is currently a Post-Doctoral Researcher in the "Language Development Lab", AUTh. She received her PhD, funded under "Reinforcement Program of Human Research Manpower" (PENED) (“Voice morphology and transitivity alternations in Greek: Evidence from corpora and psycholinguistic experiments”) from the School of English, Aristotle University of Thessaloniki in 2010. She also holds a BA in French Language and Literature Studies (1997) from the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki, an MA in Theoretical and Applied Linguistics “Teaching Greek as L1 or L2”, funded by EPEAEK (2003) from the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki and a certificate of specialization in ERP and eye-tracking methodologies (Netherlands Organisation for Scientific Research, 2011). Her scientific interests include first and second language acquisition and development, bilingualism, native adult, child and L2 sentence processing, corpus based studies and language learning. She has worked in research projects such as Excellence I (2012-15) "Individual Differences in Anaphora Resolution" (P.I.: I.M. Tsimpli, A.U.Th.), Karatheodoris Project (2001-04): "The Development of Functional Categories in L2 Greek" (P.I.: Anna Roussou, University of Patras) & "Education of Foreign and Repatriated Students" (EPPAS / diapolis projects, 2003-2012). She has also worked at the Centre for the Greek Language (2011-12) and the School of Modern Greek, A.U.Th. (2010-12 & 2015-). Finally, she is also concerned with acquired language disorders, and language and cognitive processing, in general.
