ÅVENT ABSTRACT

For students who have never written a play, this is the perfect workshop to learn how to write for the stage. The ten-minute play is a popular form where you will learn the six traditional dramatic techniques first espoused by Aristotle: Plot, Character, Thought, Dialogue, Spectacle, and Song. We will focus on writing a short conflict play that uses a character’s behavior as much as language to engage an audience, and hold them tight in your grasp.
