A two-day workshop with the title 'Memory Mapping Thessaloniki' will be offered on Tuesday March 10th, 2015, and Thursday March 12th, 2015, by Alexa Mills (Fulbright Specialist).
The two-day workshop is going to take place at School of English Library (New Philosophy Building 3rd floor) between 14:00-17:00 on Tuesday and Thursday.
***A certificate of attendance will be provided. You need to attend both workshops***
NOTE:
Please bring a photograph of a place in Thessaloniki that you feel strongly on -- whether you have a memory of something that happened there, you love the place, you are scared of the place, or something about that place makes you angry.
Please have your smartphones PLUS the USB cable from phone to laptop or tablet. In addition do bring your tablet or laptop with you.

ÅVENT ABSTRACT
In this two-day workshop, you will learn to combine age-old storytelling with new media tools to produce a memory map of the spaces in Thessaloniki you feel most strongly about. You will learn interviewing, basic audio production, and online mapping. Plus, you will have fun.
BIO
Alexa Mills has taught storytelling and journalism at MIT, Emerson College, and Universidad de los Andes. She is a freelance journalist and a Fulbright Special Scholar. From 2008-2013, she worked at the MIT Community Innovators Lab in the MIT Department of Urban Studies and Planning, where she founded CoLab Radio, an online publication in which people who are committed to improving their communities can share their projects and express their ideas.
