Title: Creative Writing Workshop - "Transparent Windows" event

A creative writing workshop with the title 'Scriptwriting Images: Dare to Visualize your Thoughts' will be offered on Friday Nov. 29th, 2013, by Sotiris Babajimopoulos (Ph.D. Candidate, School of English).

This is going to take place in School of English Library (New Philosophy Building; Room 308; 3rd floor) between 18:00-20:00.

A certificate of attendance will be provided.

EVENT ABSTRACT

Is writing prose the same as writing scripts? What is the narrative function of a script? In this workshop you will have the chance to discuss the ways with which writing is connected to cinema, and you will be given the creative challenge to rewrite a scene from a famous movie.

 

SOTIRIS BABAJIMOPOULOS BIO
Sotiris Babajimopoulos is a Ph.D. candidate researching the mechanisms of violence in American contemporary cinema. He holds an M.A. in Creative Writing (University of Leeds, UK) and an MA in Communication and Journalism (University of Santiago de Compostela, Spain). He has been working for several years as a film critic and has published various short stories.
