The Department of American Literature, School of English, Aristotle University of Thessaloniki, Greece, in collaboration with the Hellenic Association for American Studies (HELAAS), is organizing its inaugural Summer School program.
This Summer School program will take place on the School of English premises (Faculty of Philosophy, New Building, 3rd Floor) between
Monday 29 June to Saturday 4 July, 2015
The Summer School offers to participants 2 ECTS for 30 hours of lectures and workshops plus a 10-hour individual workload on research projects and assignments.
The aim of the Summer School is to contribute in a substantial way to the current research into the complexities and dynamics of cultural globalization with attention to issues of immigration, labor, and environmental racism, the role of education and learning in a more ethnorelative context as well as new media textualities.

The Summer School program is open to everyone who wishes to deepen their understanding of current scholarly debates and research within the context of global transformation processes, cultural challenges, and socio-political tensions. The language of the Summer School is English.
Certificate of attendance will be awarded to all participants plus certification of the ECTS gained.
