The Thessaloniki International Airport “Macedonia” connects the city to many European capitals and several other European cities by direct flights or via Athens (35 minutes flight time). It also offers direct flights to other major cities of Greece and many Greek islands. The Thessaloniki International Airport is located 13 km east of the city of Thessaloniki.
Route bus No78 (78N, night service) operates a regular service between Thessaloniki International Airport and the New Railway Station in the city of Thessaloniki. Delegates who want a ride to the venue of the Symposium, Capsis Hotel, can get off at stop “Platia Dimokratias/Πλατεία Δημοκρατίας”.
You can also get a taxi that will take you from the airport directly to the hotel (Capsis Hotel Thessaloniki, 18 Monastiriou Str.). An approximate cost for a taxi ride from the airport to Capsis Hotel is 20 €. There is a taxi rank outside the International Arrivals Hall of the airport.
