Travelling From/To Thessaloniki International Airport “Macedonia”
The Airport is located 13 km east of the city of Thessaloniki . Cash point machines (ATMs) are located in departures lounge.
By bus: Route bus No78 (78N, night service) operates a regular service between Thessaloniki International Airport and the New Railway Station in the city of Thessaloniki. Delegates who want a ride to the venue of the Symposium, Porto Palace Hotel, can get off at stop IKA, outside the law court building, and get on bus No 31, on the same ticket, that will take them to the hotel (bus stop Sfagia). Bus tickets can be purchased in advance at ticket kiosks (0,50 €), or on the bus, using the automatic vending machines (0,60 €).
By taxi: An approximate cost for a taxi ride from the airport to Porto Palace Hotel is 20 €. A taxi ride from the railway station to Porto Palace should not exceed 10€. There is a taxi rank outside the International Arrivals Hall of the airport (Aerodromio) and outside the railway station. Alternatively, taxis can be ordered (premium cost) using the following telephone numbers: +30 2310 550500, +30 2310 214900, +30 2310 546522, +30 2310 551525, +30 2310 866866, +30 2310 552021. Taxi tariffs increase during night hours (ca 30€ for a ride from the airport to the hotel) and there is an added cost (2.80€) if taking a taxi from the airport and 0,35€ for each suitcase.

Transportation to/from Porto Palace Hotel
Porto Palace Hotel is located within 1,5 km from city center. Route bus No 31 operates a regular service between Thessaloniki's city centre (along Egnatia street) and Porto Palace hotel. Buses run every five minutes and the bus stop is located, in front of the hotel (direction: to the city centre) and opposite the hotel (direction: from the city centre). The bus ticket price is 0,50 € if you purchase in advance at ticket kiosks or 0,60 € on the bus automatic vending machine. Route bus No 40 also operates between the railway station and PortoPalace Hotel. A taxi ride from the railway station to the hotel should not exceed 10€.
