The Conference welcomes papers on any area of linguistic research related to Modality in English, including contrastive / parametric / typological issues.
This is the third international conference on Modality in English (following Verona 2001 and Pau 2004). The conference will be hosted by the 18th International Symposium on Theoretical and Applied Linguistics. Conference participants are welcome to join the academic and social programme of the Symposium.
Presentations will be 20 minutes long followed by a 10-minute discussion. The official language of the conference is English.
